I use colored pencil embedded into wood panels to create still lifes and abstract art. I set up still lifes and take photographs to use as reference for my art. The beauty of light, reflection and shadow is a central theme in my artwork. The purpose of my still lifes is to provide a time of quiet reflection to the viewer. My abstract art is an explosion of geometric shapes and color creating vibrant, dynamic pieces. My abstract art is from photo shopped versions of details of my photographs. The purpose of my abstract art is to provide each viewer with a unique experience through personal interpretation.
